CAES Is pleased to announce that the 60th Annual Institute will be hosted in a hybrid format online and in person at Union College in Schenectady, NY. The full program of events will take place during the day on Friday October 27, 2023. Participants will receive CTLE credit hours.

SPEAKERS
This year we are pleased to host several distinguished speakers at the Institute: Nancy Sorkin Rabinowitz, Professor Emerita of Comparative Literature at Hamilton College and Hugh McElroy of Episcopal High School will be speaking to us about their work on the Classical Association’s Queering the Past(s) Project.
Terence Tunberg and Milena Minkova, Professors of Classics at the University of Kentucky and directors of the UK Institute for Latin Studies will also be joining us to demonstrate their techniques for applying active Latin in the classroom.
We are very excited to learn from all of these speakers and hope you will join us in October!

Institute events will take place on the campus of Union College in Schenectady, NY. All events are in Hale House [#14 on this campus map] and Parking is in the Nott-Seward parking lot [directions]. Please print and display this parking pass on your vehicle’s dashboard to avoid ticketing.
